Disney+ appeared to have been hot by some technical snag only within a few hours of launching its streaming service officially on Tuesday.
The users who rushed to download Disney’s new streaming service channel Disney+ were hit by an error message in their screens that it was ‘unable to connect’. The message was being displayed which appeared to come underneath the ‘Wreck-it Ralph’ a popular TV show and then forces users to exit and reconnect later on.
Users began to report their discontent on Twitter on Tuesday since morning. Many said that they were unable to connect to Disney’s new streaming service app while others said that they were not able to download the app from Apple’s app store. Till 7 am EST there had been as many as 7,300 complaints of various issues faced by the users according to Downdetector a website where users can report problems and issues related to apps and websites.
A spokesperson from Disney+ said they were trying to resolve the issues as early as possible. According to him who did not wish to be named, they were surprised by the demand of the users who wanted to download and use the latest streaming service provided by Disney. He also asked the users to be patient and told that they are also aware of the problems and are working to get it fixed as quickly as possible.
Disney bought BAM Tech in 2017 and uses its technology to power Disney+ and ESPN+ during outages and buffering issues. According to some users in Puerto Rico, Canada they were shown a completely different error message that Disney+ is only available in certain places. Depending on where the users are located they may not be able to access Disney+. Disney+ may have delayed their launch in Canada. Now how quickly can Disney fix the issues is needed to be watched out.
